Risk Disclosure

Last updated August 12, 2026

Trading foreign exchange, CFDs, commodities, and other leveraged instruments — whether manually or through an automated Expert Advisor — carries a high level of risk and may not be suitable for every investor. Read this disclosure fully before using any algorithm discovered through WaiTrade.

1. WaiTrade does not provide financial advice

Nothing on WaiTrade — including algorithm listings, backtest data, AI-generated analysis, or educational guides — constitutes financial, investment, or trading advice. All content is provided for informational purposes only. You are solely responsible for your own trading decisions.

2. You can lose more than you expect

Leveraged trading can result in losses that exceed your initial deposit, depending on your broker's terms and the instrument traded. Never trade with capital you cannot afford to lose.

3. Past performance is not indicative of future results

Every performance figure shown on WaiTrade — return percentage, Sharpe ratio, drawdown, win rate — is derived from historical backtest data or historical live-tracked results. Markets evolve, and a strategy's historical edge is never a guarantee it will persist. This applies equally to algorithms with a "Verified" badge, which reflects backtest completeness and consistency, not a performance guarantee.

4. Automated trading carries its own risks

An Expert Advisor executes its programmed logic without human judgment in the moment. This means it will continue trading through conditions its logic wasn't designed for unless it includes specific safeguards. Risks specific to automated trading include:

  • Platform, connectivity, or VPS outages interrupting order execution;
  • Slippage and spread widening during high-volatility or low-liquidity periods;
  • A strategy continuing to trade after market conditions have shifted away from what it was designed for;
  • Broker-specific execution differences from what a backtest assumed.

5. Bot Builder generated code

MT5 Expert Advisor code generated through Bot Builder is created from parameters you provide. It has not been independently backtested or verified by WaiTrade before you receive it. Test any generated EA thoroughly — including on a demo account — before deploying it with real capital.

6. Third-party developer content

Algorithms published by marketplace developers are created and maintained by those developers, not WaiTrade. Review each algorithm's full backtest, risk classification, and developer track record — see our guide on how to choose a trading bot — before allocating capital to any strategy.

7. No guarantee of profit

No algorithm, AI analysis, or educational content on WaiTrade guarantees a profit or protects against loss. Position sizing tools (such as our free position size calculator) are educational aids for risk management, not predictions of outcome.

8. Consider independent advice

If you are uncertain whether algorithmic trading is appropriate for your financial situation, consult a licensed financial advisor before trading.
